Public Enemies - Filmed in Columbus Columbus’ beautiful historic character is the back drop to a 2009 Johnny Depp movie about the 1930’s gangster John Dillinger. Downtown streets were dressed to look like depression era store fronts. Cobblestone was laid in the downtown area. Picture cars, extras and movie stars all came to Columbus in March and May 2009 to film this movie. The city joined in the excitement! Come visit the site of this filming.


Public Enemies - Filmed in Columbus We offer a horse-drawn carriage ride which takes you down the streets where the movie was made. You will travel past the bank that was robbed in the movie, the brothel where Dillinger gang members spent the evening, the street where Johnny Depp sings a song, and through the downtown area where many scenes were shot.

Nancy was the Mayor of Columbus at the time of the filming and knows many of the ‘behind the scenes’ stories. She will be your tour guide on the carriage ride. Call to make arrangements.
