Farm Evenings and Bon Fire

Beginning in 2009, we offer an evening at the farm experience complete with a camp fire, appetizers and fixings for s’mores. The farm is 118 acres of beautiful farm ground just outside of Columbus. There are deer, rabbits, pheasant, geese and a pair of cranes that raise a family on this beautiful property. We have a large garden, raspberry beds, many outbuildings, and a wonderful place for a bonfire.

Make arrangements with Nancy to enjoy quite time with nature. This is a working farm. Wayne makes grass hay on about 20 acres of the farm and the rest is rented to a local farmer. In 2009 he is planting corn on about 100 acres.

We will help you enjoy your afternoon / evening at the farm. We’ll light the fire, provide snacks and supplies for s’mores so that you can relax and enjoy a wonderful evening at the farm. Bring along a bottle of wine, beer or beverages. It is a time to renew, refresh and enjoy nature, watch the stars rise. We have seen northern light that are absolutely spectacular.

Our guests thoroughly enjoy this true getaway. They tell us that it is a memorable evening for them. Some guests have helped with the hay operation, pitching bales and participating in the workings of a farm.

Cost is $25 / person or $40 / couple.
